Dr. Teehan attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2015. She then began a one-year equine surgical internship in southwestern Pennsylvania. After completing her internship, she was asked to stay on as an associate, fielding emergencies, performing lameness exams, and continuing to assist in a variety of surgeries, from colics to fracture repairs. However, after three years in Pennsylvania she decided to move back home to be closer to her family. Since switching gears to small animal medicine, Dr. Teehan has been practicing in the NEK for three years. She lives in Newport with her two cats, Beaker and Nessie.
